A Summer of Presence, Creativity, and Connection
August gives us a rare gift — a chance to pause our usual rhythms and ask God how He might want to use our Sundays in fresh, life-giving ways. Instead of gathering in the usual format, we’re opening space for church to spill out into everyday places: parks, cafés, living rooms, gardens, and conversations that might not happen inside a church building.
Third Space Church is about rediscovering what it means to be the people of Jesus in the ordinary. It’s about creating moments of welcome, curiosity, friendship, and faith wherever life naturally happens. A walk with neighbours. Brunch with friends. A board-game afternoon. A reflective coffee with someone who’s been on your heart. A simple gathering that makes room for connection.
Throughout August, the Atrium will remain open each Sunday for prayer, worship, and welcome — a gentle anchor for anyone who needs it. But the wider invitation is for all of us to step into our streets, networks, and communities with imagination and courage.
This leaflet offers a few starter ideas and gatherings already planned — not as a programme to follow, but as inspiration. Let them spark your own creativity. Ask God who you might spend time with. Dream about what kind of space you could host or join something where you are hosted. Big or small, structured or simple, indoors or outdoors — every act of hospitality, connection, ministry can become a place where Jesus is encountered.
