You may have heard it said that:
"The church is the people, not the building"
Well, it’s true. But our physical building has served us well in a variety of ways for many years and we are fortunate to have it.
​
Most people tend to associate a Sunday morning church service with the building; it’s really an amazing thing that we are free and able to gather together to worship. But our building is used for a multitude of other things too: including a pre-school, our offices, work with children, young people, old people, poor people and rich people, bible study groups, film nights, community events, hustings, weddings and funerals and more besides.

It gives us a place to gather together, in person, to see and hear and listen to each other. If the Covid pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that we’re better off together. If you’re able to, please come and find us. We’d love to meet you.

Premises Hire
As well as being available for Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals, our building is also available for other events. Please email bookings@streathambaptist.com with a brief description of your event (birthday party, committee meeting etc) and your required dates/times. Our team will respond to you and will be able to inform you of our hire terms and rates.

The Sanctuary seats 180-280 depending on layout and has a raised stage area with a modern PA system and AV/Projector system, including Full HD multi-camera live stream system.
PA/AV/Live Stream Operators are occasionally available but not supplied as standard.
​
Our separate Atrium area is suitable for serving refreshments or for meetings, with room for 40-50 seated around trestle tables or 65 standing.
​
We have a separate Hall that hosts Lewin Preschool during the week but at weekends is suitable for children's parties etc. The Hall can be used to cater for up to 90 people seated or up to 180 for a standing buffet. There is a full catering Kitchen with large service hatch that adjoins the Hall.

We have several small meeting rooms, suitable for 10-15 people seated, available for use during office hours only.
