"I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3 and 4.
'Kingdom Kids @ SBC' is the corporate name of the Ministries, groups, activities and events for children aged 0-11 years at Streatham Baptist Church.
Kingdom Kids on Sunday:
We meet during both morning services.
After joining the congregation for the first part of the service we meet in the church hall to:
Play with a purpose; a time for the children and leaders to play games together and get to know each other better.
Worship; including praise, prayer, games and a short talk.
(During this time we take up our collection which goes to Apurba, a child we support in India).
Teaching; following on from the talk the children break into age appropriate groups to learn about the days theme.
Time to share; After our time of teaching we return to the main service where one of the groups have the chance to share with the congregation what they have learnt. Sometimes we will share choreographed flag worship, drama, dance, a song or puppetry.
Meet every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning from 09.30am to 11.30am in the Atrium at Streatham Baptist Church, during term time only.
(Please use the entrances on Natal Road or Lewin Road).
Jelly Tots is our 'Parent and Toddler Group' where all are welcomed.
We have tea, coffee and biscuits, fruit and cold drinks for the children.
Plenty of toys, art and craft activities, songs and story time.
'Kingdom Kids @ SBC' are also involved in supporting local Primary Schools with their assemblies.
